Marylou had never talked to Herbie because she was too shy. Slugs in Love is a very sweet love story, perfect for a Valentine's Day read aloud. The little poems the slugs write to each other with slime are little samples to be emulated by kids while writing their own Valentines. Who would've thought slugs could be so likable?
