     Horace and his mom have just baked a delicious gingerbread bear but he has to wait until the next morning to eat it.  That gives Ginger Bear a chance to live it up! He wakes up in the middle of the night and while everyone is asleep, Ginger Bear decides he wants to make friends. So, he literally does!...he bakes himself some other cookie friends. His exciting evening includes putting on a circus, barely escaping being eaten by the house dog and finally finding a safe place where he can stay forever.  Ginger Bear is exciting, with a hint of fairy-tale and a lot of adventure.  I've always enjoyed stories where inanimate objects come to life while we're not watching and this one's no exception.
